QRubini accepts all major credit cards through our online processor Paypal. QRubini customers are not required to open an account with Paypal or have an existing relationship with Paypal, as QRubini is the Paypal customer in the transaction. Paypal is used as the QRubini processor for your payments, similar to the use of a bank processor via check payments or Visa/MasterCard in credit card payments. At checkout, the customer must use a major credit card for their QRubini purchases.

All telephone orders are shipped after receipt of payment payable to Maureen Quinlan, Inc. for the total order and shipping amount. The customer is responsible for paying all sales, use and other similar taxes relating to any purchases or services from QRubini.com. QRubini is physically located in the State of Florida and is required to collect and/or pay state and county sales tax on all purchases made by Florida residents. Due to the current limitations of this website, the Florida Sales Tax Due may be billed under separate cover (in the shipment box) to all Florida customers. Florida customers are asked to send via check the tax due the State of Florida to QRubini. QRubini will provide a return postage-paid envelope to all Florida customers to whom this may apply. QRubini will pay directly to the State of Florida all sales tax due on sales made online by Florida residents. QRubini appreciates the timely payment of such taxes. QRubini encourages customers outside the State of Florida to contact their State Department of Revenue for the payment of any tax due as a result of their purchases at QRubini.com.
Your QRubini purchase is hand ironed and/or steamed, folded gently to limit wrinkling and then packaged for shipment. When your QRubini dress arrives you will "ooh and ah"!
When you make a purchase online your order is sent within four to six business days to the address of your request. Your ordered is shipped from sunny St. Petersburg, FL. You should receive your order within 10 to 14 days from the order date.
All orders are sent either U.P.S., U.S. Postal Service (USPS) Priority Mail, DHL or Federal Express and are insured accordingly.

QRubini believes that you will love your purchases. However, should you find your order unacceptable you may return the order or an item within the order to QRubini. The returned order or items must be in their original packaging with their original tags and must not have been worn. QRubini will issue a full refund for the price of the order or item that meets this condition.
All returns due to quality issues are fully refunded (including shipping, insurance and handling charges) by QRubini. QRubini only refunds shipping, insurance and handling costs if the return is due to a quality issue or a QRubini shipping error. Returns based on issues other than quality or a QRubini error will be handled as outlined below.
Before ordering QRubini requests that customers please review the Sizing and How to Measure Your Child Section. QRubini dresses run large compared to standard U.S. sizing. Most QRubini styles should fit a child for two full years. If ordered correctly each seasonal garment should give your child two seasons of wear. In an effort to limit return postage costs to QRubini customers the company encourages its customers to measure their child before ordering see HOW to MEASURE YOUR CHILD.

QRubini has relationships with a number of charities nationally and QRubini may choose to donate the item to a charity in your local area rather than you returning the item to the company. If this is the case, QRubini pays all additional shipping charges to ship the dress to the local charity and the customer pays only the original shipping, insurance and handling charges from warehouse to customer's house.
If QRubini does not have such a relationship in your area, QRubini encourages you to donate the dress and/or item to someone in your local area that may need/desire such an item. Good sources to find a child in need are local churches or hospitals. However, if the customer is not willing to donate the item, the customer may return the item to QRubini. The customer must follow the procedures outlined below for handling a return item.
Once the item is received, inspected and deemed worthy of a return, the customer's account will be credited or a check will be issued to the customer for the original amount of the item plus any taxes paid.
Return items that arrive 21 to 30 calendar days after delivery date will be subject to a charge of 25% of the total order amount or U.S. $25 (whichever is more) for a restocking fee per item ordered. All sales are final after 30 calendar days.
The company wants the customer to feel safe and confident in knowing that the company will never, sell, rent or otherwise distribute any personal information that you provide to us. QRubini may occasionally send you an email or USPS announcements about the collection or special events that may take place in your local area with our partner charities. Why are QRubini Dresses so expensive?
QRubini dresses are expensive for a number of reasons. First, most of the dress designs are labor-intensive, requiring significant amounts of handwork. QRubini believes in providing a high-end, above-the-average-living-wage to our seamstresses in Nicaragua, who in turn, provide us with high quality hand-sewing. We honor "family first" always in our work. As a result of this work policy, we carry a very large amount of inventory which requires a significant amount of working capital. An additional cost to a QRubini Dress is the required tithing of each dress. QRubini dresses are all tithed to worthy causes and/or charities in our world community, approximately 20% of the sales price of each QRubini Dress is given to such causes.
We have been told by a number of seasoned garment importers that we are paying too much for our dresses. We disagree, we want every aspect of the production of our dresses to produce positive energy. We believe that the movement of good energy in the world should also move dollars around the world. We aren't about money... we are about creating more smiles in the world (one dress, one seamstress, one import broker, one DHL driver, one presser, one packager, one customer, at a time).... and these smiles cost a lot!
As our quality increases and as the standard-of-living of our seamstresses and other business partners improves, please expect our pricing to increase. Our hope is to have the finest sewing shops in the world, sewing shops that have a soul! While our shops are beautiful and pleasing to operate they are costly to maintain.
How it works
The donation to the Nicaraguan cause/charity is made at the time of export of the item. We are currently supporting an orphanage and a soup kitchen in Leon, NI and a school in Managua, NI.
The donation to the U.S. cause/charity is made after the sale of the item. At this website, on average, $20 of the sales price is donated to U.S. charities/causes with each item sold. All donations are made in the name of Maureen Quinlan, Inc. Customers do not receive credit or recognition or a U.S. income tax deduction for the $20 given to U.S. charities/causes. While it may appear that Maureen Quinlan, Inc. acts only as a conduit for the giving and is therefore not worthy of the credit or recognition or any tax deduction associated with the giving, Maureen Quinlan, Inc. is in fact the creator of the $20 value that is being given. In other words, the tyipcal dress or item could sell by itself for the given price. Maureen Quinlan, Inc. chooses to donate $20 of its otherwise return on investment to charity/causes in the U.S.
At the time of sale your credit card is charged for the entire sales price of the dress (including the U.S. cause/charity donation amount) plus any applicable taxes. Depending on the amount collected, QRubini forwards donations to its partner charities on a quarterly, semi-annual or annual basis. Given the quasi-charitable aspect of our company, we have had a number of financial challenges.
