Three Cousins Join Forces to Promote Their Family-Owned Businesses

and Raise $$ for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital

(Sunny St. Petersburg, Florida, October 3, 2007) – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Three cousins, representing four family-owned businesses: Summerdale, Inc, a mortgage brokerage company; QRubini, a children’s clothing company; Florida Ocean Adventures, a private boat excursion company and; Kool Poolz, a pool services company, have team-up to join forces to promote their businesses and raise funds for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis TN.

QRubini founder, Maureen Quinlan, will be delivering hundreds of hand-made pottery or vintage glassware pieces filled with fortune cookies to businesses, individuals and open-houses throughout the Tampa Bay Area. For each piece delivered the family-owned businesses will be making a contribution to St. Jude’s.

"We see this as a way to promote recognition of the great work done at St. Jude’s, to increase awareness of the beauty of hand-made pottery and vintage glassware and to help market our family-owned businesses," commented QRubini founder, Maureen Quinlan. "Plus, fortune cookies are just plain fun! We want to bring some good fortune to the Tampa Bay community."

Ms. Quinlan and her cousins, Joe Dattilo, founder of Summerdale, Inc. and Florida Ocean Adventures and Joe McClellan, founder of Kool Poolz, have been supporting St. Jude’s for a number of years. "While the research done at St. Jude’s helps children with cancer throughout the world, our family has benefited directly from their work," said Ms. Quinlan. Quinlan’s daughter, now a healthy thirteen-year-old, was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer at six months of age. Ms. Quinlan believes that the research done at St. Jude’s aided in her daughter’s recovery and that St. Jude’s continues to give hope to families like hers. "This give-away is just one small way that we, as a family and as small-business owners, are giving back to St. Jude’s" says Ms. Quinlan.

Businesses, individuals and realtors accepting the pottery or glassware pieces are encouraged to also make contributions to St. Jude’s. All those that participate in the give-away will be listed at the QRubini website: QRubini.com. Please contact Ms. Quinlan at 727-898-3921 or

by email at maureen@qrubini.com for more information or to be included on the delivery list.

QRubini is "On the Road Again – the return of the traveling sales(wo)man"

(St. Petersburg, Florida, November 6, 2006) – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Maureen Rubini Quinlan, founder and director of the QRubini line of children’s clothing, has recently announced that she will be taking the clothing line "On the Road Again."

The company has continued to have difficulty breaking into the garment industry – industry vets have told the company that they are too much of a pioneer, too young, too conservative, too unconnected in the industry.

Ms. Quinlan was often told by her father in-law, Roberto Rubini, founder of Cissell Manufacturing, Inc., and whose fortune has help to support the brand, "that yes, my dear, it’s a tough business, the rag trade." Yet, Ms. Quinlan, following in the steps of her father in-law, is not giving up on her passion.

"We are not going away, no one is going to get rid of us. Our clothing line is beautiful and is created by loving hands – no one is mistreated in the production of our line. Our garments are not massed produced, they are made slowly by loving hands. Our customers can feel and see this when they hold our garments in their hands. We believe that there will always be a place in the world for garments created lovingly by human hands and that’s where you will find the QRubini logo. There will always be a place in the world for a QRubini handmade garment," says founder, Maureen Quinlan.

The QRubini collections include delightful, timeless and classic hand smocked designs. QRubini garments last for generations, handed down from child to child, cousin to cousin and friend to friend.
